Fine Art Mosaic Artist at Moon Hare Studio

You can join Adela at her mosaic studio in the courtyard of the old rectory and learn the relaxing art of mosaic. The studio is situated in Holsworthy, North Devon, just a few miles from the North Cornish coast.  All materials, tools, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided on the day.

 Please note due to the adhesive needing time to dry you will not grout the mosaics before you leave. You will be given a grouting demonstration, and the choice of taking a bag of grout home and grouting yourself or leaving your mosaic at the studio where Adela can grout and post for a small charge.

Mosaic classes currently offered:

One Day Mosaic Workshop

10am -4pm £75

You will learn techniques of cutting and laying glass tiles producing a mosaic up to 20cm square, alternatively you can choose a shape to mosaic. An ideal introduction for those wishing to take up mosaic as a hobby. 

 Recycled China Mosaic Workshop

10am-1pm  2-5pm £45

If you prefer something a little less challenging try the half day recycled china workshops where you get to break plates and mosaic some shapes and learn the art of the picassiette style of mosaic.

 Mosaic Garden Bunting Workshop

10am - 4pm £65 

Spend a relaxing day mosaicking colourful bunting flags to adorn your garden all year round. Choose from flags either 15cm or 20cm long. 

 Mosaic Pendant & Earring

Workshop is approx 2.5 hours. Start times can be during the day or evenings. £35

You will be taught 2 methods of making mosaic jewellery using pendant trays and many other materials including glass, china, copper & beads. You will make one large pendant and choose from either a pair of earrings or a medium pendant. If you wish to make more you may purchase extra materials. 

 Mosaic Mirror Workshop

10am - 2pm £45

Have fun choosing from the vast array of glass tiles and other goodies in the studio to adorn a 25cm square mirror. There will also be handmade words available if you wish to make an affirmation mirror.
